Journal: Duke Kahanamoku

Filed under: podcasts — Administrator @ 12:02 pm

My last sunset in Hawaii on this trip. I take a walk on the beach in Front of the Outrigger Canoe Club and the Elks Club and read again from the Journal Of Tommy Thompson. He wrote about his friendship with Duke Kahanamoku.
Duke swam in the 1912, ‘20, ‘24 Olympics and was an water polo alternate in 1932. He won 3 Golds 2 silvers and the Bronze on the water polo team. The games in 1916 were canceled due to WW1 otherwise he might have won more. I read some first hand accounts. Show time about 10min
