(second take with better sound) I’m going to a Memorial Day/ 33rd birthday party in North Dallas and I was unsure of what to get some one that is turning 33. The gift of useless information is always fun. So I have decided to pick up a case of Rolling Rock beer and extol the virtues of beer labels and how they are probably the most scrutinized artifacts in civilization given the propensity of beer drinkers to stare at them and pick them of the label. What does that 33 mean? Show time about 7min.

A little chat with the infamous Kato Kaelin. I bumped into Kato yesterday by accident as he was walking by a record store in Addison, Texas with what appeared to be a bodyguard. I was doing a little homeland security in my neighborhood and not being a shy guy, of course I introduced myself and asked him why he was here in Dallas. (After all, Dallas doesn’t have a Playboy Mansion!) The bodyguard turned out to be former middle weight boxing champion Big Sugar Ray Phillips. Kato was cool about doing a Podcast after I explained what it was all about. We met today at Nate’s Seafood and Steakhouse while he was on a shoot for a new HDNet (Mark Cuban) program called “Eye for an Eye” It’s a show about getting revenge on small claims court that will air on The WB in Dallas.

We also talked about Sigma Alpha Epsilon, the fraternity he was in at Cal State Fullerton. During our interview he takes a call from Scott Jameson at X-103 Radio in Indiana. Scott was calling because Kato will be in town for the Indianapolis 500. This is more then likely the first interview ever done with Kato that did not mention his former neighbor “Murder O.J. Simpson” living in Florida. That’s art man!

The local story on Podcasting ran locally and then was picked up but the national media. I also talk about going local with podcasts. Scott has been in the news business for 19 years. We are both the same age and from the same area – Philadelphia. He went to Cardinal O’ Haral and I went to Archbishop Carroll. Talked about one of the most memorable news stories of our time. The day murderous animal terrorists attacked our country on September 11th. Scott was sent to the Pentagon. Mentioned in the podcast was Timmy Soulas who died that day (link below please look). 09/11/01. As Business Reporter for Fox we talk about ideas on the future of podcasting. Could we podcast the mass in Latin? Centennial Wines is also featured in the story because they are doing a Podcast. I think the first business in Texas to do this???

Seems like everyone’s got a Quran story these days I will try and tell mine in the style of two podcasters that I admire, Im not as professional as them but im working on the science of reaching through the earbuds.I talk about my brush with the Quran. Where is my Quran now? It is in Egypt. I goggled the word Touareg because of the Buddha Bar song and it has two meanings. One is the Volkswagen and the other is a Egyptian and Libyan tribesman that leads caravans and wears a veil. I learned something new tonight. Show time under 10 min

I paid $5 at the matinee to see the new Italian movie “Primo Amore”(first love) at the Angelica theater. Near Mockingbird Station and Central Expressway and it sucked. It made me hungry. The movie was about a control freak bald headed dude and a girl that gets anorexic to please him. Go figure an Italian movie that was anti food. Went shopping at the Whole Foods off Forest. I tattooed my Honda so people in Dallas can see my web address. If you are from Dallas Addison Farmers Branch area let me know.

Primo Amore Recipe
5 garlic cloves chopped (.50)
1 medium onion.(chopped)(.50)
Lots of oil (good oil not cheep stuff) (.75)
Put in 2 ½ inch pan that is on Medium to High heat. Mix onion and garlic (DON’T BURN like I did)(free)
Add special spice ( I got mine from Ischia Italy) Pepper salt and other stuff) (.10)
Dice Tomatoes in chunks use about 3-4 good looking fresh Tomatoes.
Add the Broccoli and Asparagus and some more oil(2.00)
Make sure the water in pot is boiling then add salt. (.2)
then throw in pasta (don’t over do it)(.89)
Get big bowl that looks good that can hold the pasta and what is in the pan.(free)
Dump pasta in that good looking bowl after draining.(free)
Dump the Sauce on top of the pasta. Burn bread and rub garlic on it when it hot.(.99)
Top with fresh cut basil (look at picture)(garden free)
Invite friends to sit down drink more wine talk about things.(priceless)

Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page, jamming in the midst of the suit-and-tie executives of Warner Music Group Corp., helped ring the opening bell on the New York Stock Exchange Wednesday (May 11th 2005) as the music publisher celebrated its initial public stock offering. Page played about 1 minute of “Whole Lotta Love” for the traders and guests assembled at the stock exchange. Mean while back in Dallas I daydreamed about what if the Ramones played the Opening bell.
