“The Truth” new 4th25 song
I play a new streetiq promo from Mike at www.podshack.com Went to the small cap conference in Dallas interviewing CEOs. you can check out the interviews at
***Streetiq Executive Lounge***I rant about Madge Weinstein trip to Texas. Sergeant Saunders gives his take on Cindy Sheenhan. All troops meet in Texas. 4th 25 songs and a new one hot off the press from 4th25 called “The Truth” Very busy sorry I haven’t been posting. Send comments
I thought everyone knew Madge Weinstein was a guy. Are you incredibly naive or just pointing out the obvious? Also, is this the way you win arguments? If you disagree with someones point of view, it’s probably best to talk about the issue rather than post pictures of you exposing what you deem to be ‘the truth’ or a ‘freak’, when really its just someone standing up for what he believes in. You’ve let yourself down today. Congratulations.

Ha! I know its a dude..Welcome to the show down in Texas. Cindy is full of shit. And a pawn. I can debate the issue all day. Just trying to keep it real.
Thanks for the comments.
Were not pulling out of Iraq Unless you can elect a President. Going down to Crawford is not going to help your cause or the soldiers.
Comment by Administrator — August 23, 2005 @ 10:49 pm
No problem. Calling a grieving mother ‘full of shit’ is uncalled for. It’s pretty low. Even if she is wrong (even though there is no right or wrong here - it’s opinion) her son is dead and it’s not sensible to imagine she’s going to hold her feelings in. Of course you’re entitles to your opinions.
If going down to Crawford isn’t going to change anything, then why does it offend you so? If it’s so unimportant wouldn’t it be better to even avoid talking about it? Aren’t you giving it publicity? The truth is if does have an impact, and you realise this. When you say ‘your cause’ I’m afraid you are not talking for me, because I don’t even live in the US and am just expressing how I feel about the way a mourning mother is being treated for expressing a point of view that is as valid as the next. There is nothing unpatriotic about wanting troops to return home.
I personally think we’re gone too far now to pull out. We are forced into a situation where we have to see it through. There is such a high chance that this whole exercise is going to be revealed as futile and pointless in years to come though, and I think america is realising that as a nation.
Comment by Gareth — August 23, 2005 @ 11:07 pm
“son mother son mother war son mother Bush greive son mother mother son mourn son mother.”
Thats the only message that is getting out here and overseas. This protest could have started years ago. The catylist of using Cindy now seems late to me and that drives me nuts. Im more anti-media then anything reguarding this but thats why I have a blog/podcast. I think the future of Iraq and the Middle East as a whole is to early to tell.
PS Back to the Media…This story will fade as the new Supreme Court Justice is confirmed. THen what??? Were back to the same ol same ol.
Comment by Administrator — August 24, 2005 @ 6:03 am
Thanks for your comments. If you think this will have no lasting impact, then it really shouldn’t bother you, and especially shouldn’t ‘drive you nuts’. If you are willing to criticse a grieiving mother, and call her ‘full of shit’ for suggesting troops should pull out, you also have to be willing to take some of the blame is if comes to light in a few years time that all of this has been a complete waste of time. Hopefully that won’t be the case, but if you pick a side, you have to be held to account of that.
I agree that the media are twisted. They run with anything, and there is rarely feeling behind their decisions. They just love a good story. The worrying thing is almost all of what we hear and know about world events comes from the media in one form or another. Without a doubt Cindy is a victim, that’s why I have no intention of saying strong words against her. Her son is a victim, the many dead innocent Iraqi civilians are victims. Infact I guess you could say the only nom-victims in this whole situation are the media, which is disturbing.

Andrew, Why do you always have the impulse to reply to your comments? Insecurity? A defense mechanism that someone may be right in challenging your opinion? Maybe it is to pump up your comment counter.Usually an editor or writer only responds when challenging or confirmig a “fact”. Gareth is quite right in his perception of your need to argue. If calling anybody a piece of shit is your idea of arguement I’ll just move on to another podcast. And lay off the “keep it real” crap. This is the kind of facade that literary giant Alan Iverson runs to to defend his brilliance
Comment by Jimmy Crackhead — August 24, 2005 @ 2:53 pm
Dear Mr Crackhead,
What you call impulse to reply is for many reasons.
I like to get back to people right away. I hate black holes of Email.
My opinions are are always challenged and that is way more fun then no opinion at all.
Yes it beefs up the comment counter and that’s just another facet of Exit50.
Like drinking at a bar. Some people just read the comments.
I have no beef with Gareth and as a matter a fact I think its great he’s not from the USA and posted to the site like you. How cool is that?? A global conversation. That’s what gets me out of bed in the morning. I wish people would comment in different languages so I could spend the time to translate. And learn something. Who is Alan Iverson? Was he a poet? Ohh no that was Alan Ginsberg.
Thanks for the comments

I don’t agree with Andrews point of view, but I am glad he replied. I agree that the global aspect of podcasting is great. It’s a pity there aren’t more UK podcasts.

Some people see Cindy as a “mother in mourning,” and others see her as a “Jane Fonda” of the Iraq war. Her family doesn’t like what she’s doing & she’s insulting he son.
He not only WANTED to be a part of this war, he re-inlisted a second time after the war started!
Several people who have been down there have talked about how it IS all a fake. When the media is around she comes out and acts all upset, but when no one is there, they’re just sitting around in lawn chairs. She’s “housewife from California” who is a smooth operator & has a New York PR firm directing her when to cry, look tired and rejoice. It’s great stuff—if it were not a work of fiction.
You can listen to a 6 minute interview with a Camp Casey infiltrator who has acted like he’s a Sheehan nut while living with her clan for the last two weeks. (By the way, that PR lady was so angry with a radio talkshow host here in Dallas for exposing the true Cindy while he was on CNN, that she lashed out in a tirade that ended with “You’re an F***ing A**hole.”) They don’t want this information out. They don’t want the truth to be told.
Check out his (the radio talkshow host’s) website for the REAL story of what’s going on in Crawford. http://www.ankarlo.net/ FYI: His son is in the Marines… signed up after realizing we were going to war.)
There’s a lot more info there, including photos from a Pro-Troops rally they had in Crawford. The guy has gotten death threats and threats to the safety of his family and home after he said similiar things to Andrew. These bozos posted his home address on the net. It’s gotten so much publicity that his son (stationed in HI right now) called home and asked what the hell was going on.

She posed!
One more thing about that “Cindy is so wiped out and tired she just has to sleep sometime” and was sleeping in the grass photo. (You saw it everywhere.)
“The story goes like this: to continue the “victim” approach Sheehan and the anti-war protesters are taking it was (and is) necessary for Cindy to be very grassroots and normal. Normal people get so tired that they just can’t go any longer. Thus, the Cindy sleeping picture. The only problem: sources say that Cindy saw the photographer(s) coming and played this role for the camera.”
See the pic at the website listed above. http://www.ankarlo.net/

Sabrina,
Thanks for the posts and the links to the sites mentioned I will have to go check them out. Its amazing how the media loves nursing this baby. All of a sudden Im supposed to stop in my tracks and give her a free pass because her son died in war. Like She has kryptonight in her hands. “YOu must bow your head and feel sorry….or else. Ill know when the real ones come along, we all know, and at those times we greive with them and celebrate what they(soliders) loved doing and protect that memory. Not soil it with the Lebral Media….

There’s obviously a lot of propoganda on BOTH sides of this. That’s the one overfactor factor that stands out about US debate to the rest of the world; THERE ISN’T ANY!! People tend to take ever extreme points of view and believe anything that backs their point of view. This comment for instance:
““The story goes like this: to continue the “victim” approach Sheehan and the anti-war protesters are taking it was (and is) necessary for Cindy to be very grassroots and normal. Normal people get so tired that they just can’t go any longer. Thus, the Cindy sleeping picture. It REALLY doesn’t take a brain scientists to work out that those comments probably aren’t true. ‘Sources say’ effectively means that no-one puts claim to the comments. You can get away with saying anything as long as you put ’sources say’ in front of it. Also, how on earth would she know that the ‘Cindy sleeping picture’ was going to be news. I don’t actually know that it is news, or is seen as a ‘moment’ but am guessing it is due to your comments. She wouldn’t have known this, so it’s very evident that there’s little truth to this. You can say she’s some kind of media genius if you wish, but I doubt that’s true. The comment more about the anatomy of hate than anything else. You dislike this woman so much because of what she stands for that you are willing to believe ludicrous claims about her, anything to diminish any impact she could have. Again, this counts for the democrats, both sides are fighting tooth and nail for anything and everything, and the facts are small fry.
The British are classically understated, whereas Americans are seen as overstated. That has plusses and negatives assocaited to it. The overriding negative however is that you even when you listen to one another, you do not hear. You are all so passionate about a point of view that logic and reasoning are afterthoughts, and honestly I only wish you could see how that comes across.
Comment by Gareth — August 30, 2005 @ 5:18 pm
Yes its hard to determine what snap is going to make the news. A red flag went up when I saw that comment. I however enjoyed the Bush suporters and the signs.(barely on the news) Now Miss Cindy will get that dose of reality when all of our focus shifts to Hurricane Katrina.
Bunch of wasted energy in Crawford.
THe war will continue and half of the USA and most of Europe hate and loth GWB style of leadership. Make a move and stick with it. THe British vs USA debate is hard to manage. COnsidering 3/4 of the USA never picks up a paper other then the local one. Like Monty Pythons Black knight with no arms. Thats why I have a podcast. Let you folks not all of us are morons.
Cindy Who?
Comment by Administrator — August 30, 2005 @ 6:02 pm
Gareth,
Good observation about the Brits & Americans.
The part that bugs me about all of the Cindy Shehan thing is that it’s fake. She”s being used like Andrew said, because people feel guilty if they ridicule a greiving mother. Cindy was seen (by the infiltrator) staying in a hotel - not exactly the “sleeping on the side of the road” image, and after crying on the phone during an interview, was laughing on the cell phone just a few minutes later.
Also, the infiltrator heard conversations about how their website is gaining about $1,000 a day (for what?)… even though they only have 30 (I think) people out there.
Did you take a look at/ listen to the interview from the website listed above? What was your opinion about it?
I don’t understand the underlying points behind who is involved with this, but when the Communists are involved, “something ain’t right.”
Comment by Sabrina — August 30, 2005 @ 7:47 pm
I do view her as a grieving mother, because she is grieving and is a mother. That’s why she isn’t afraid to stand by her point of view. She is certainly determined, and I find it unlikely that she’s a media mastermind, able to turn on and of her emotions at will, as she has been painted. All of this ‘crying on the phone during an interview’ then ‘laughing on a cellphone minutes later’ just doesn’t ring true. It’s fine to disagree with what she’s doing, but to say her tears aren’t real is something that helps no-ones cause. I listened to the interview, Much of it is conspiracy theory stuff. I don’t think the democrats are funding this. If you’re going to ‘infiltrate’ something, you’re already starting on the wrong foot.
I agree that some people involved in this probably don’t care one bit about her son, and just want Bush out. That certainly isn’t a noble role to take. Also I have little respect for those who replaced the cross removed by the father of a dead soldier. If that was his personal wish that they certainly shouldn’t have stood in his way. Attacking his beliefs in that way isn’t the right thing to do. People are putting their causes above all else. This applies to both sides. Many Democrats are desperate to get an anti-war movement moving again, and Republicans appear to want Cindy Sheehan in an early grave, or in Andrews case for Hurricane Katrina to take the attention away, which in itself is an offensive thing to say.
Comment by Gareth — September 2, 2005 @ 8:30 am
I missed out on this conversation, it’s pretty entertaining though and probably a bit ridiculous on both sides of the argument.
Comment by Scott — September 6, 2005 @ 6:53 am
Finally, a comment I agree with!! Yes, I think sometimes in defending an opinion, it’s easy to oversell your point. That’s what many Republicans and Democrats spend their whole lives doing
Comment by Gareth — September 6, 2005 @ 12:36 pm
I remember signing a contract when I joined the military. There are many grieving families out there. God bless them and I hope that they are getting by with less pain. Most importantly God bless the ones who have fallen. I finished my tour and I’m through with the military. My mother could have been a grieving mother and I thank God that she isn’t. What’s important for everyone to understand is that when you join the military you are signing your life on the line, literally! As did Cindy’s son. Don’t get me wrong, I love the US and I’m proud of my service. Would you sign a contract with a company giving them full rights to your body for the advancement of a cause? For those of you who haven’t been over there please hold your comments. These men and women are writing the stories, living them every day over there. What made me the most upset was being over there and watching so many ignorant people argue back in the states. Cindy is entitled to given her opinion; however, remember that she wouldn’t be able to do that in most other countries. They would probably have beaten her. Always remember that 2+2= 4, not 5 or 6. If you find yourself doing good for the rest of the world you’re on the right track. Always do for others. God Bless Cindy’s son along with every other service member.
