CHAD LOCKS UP 1st OLYMPIC GOLD MEDAL FOR THE U.S.! Yes, “NBC” “Nobody Beats Chad.” Chad Hedrick won the men’s 5,000 meter by almost 2 seconds! I will be periodically checking in to exit50, while in Torino, to inform everyone the latest during my trip. Feb. 24th will be my last event….the men’s 10,000 meter speed skating. If you’re watching, look for my sign. I can’t wait to share the experience, the photos and the “drama” of olympic skating with everyone. Will Michelle Kwan skate or withdraw? For the latest olympic news, go to www.nbcolympics.com. Ciao Ciao!!

Chad IS hot… but all of the crying about his Grandmother is a bit of a turn off. After 13 years, it’s time not to cry. Was I the only one who thought it wasn’t quite right?
Comment by Carol of Oxford — February 12, 2006 @ 11:31 am
How much do tix cost & how do you get them?
Comment by Full-o-?? — February 12, 2006 @ 11:59 am
Chad is naturally a very emotional person. When I met him at a dinner in Houston, he cried during his speech. I think he was overwhelmed with all the support from so many Houstonians and former Olympians. He seems to be a “real” person and for me its nice to see a man not be afraid to show his feelings. For him to win gold on the anniversary of his Grandmother’s death seems very special. Chad is definitely hot-agree! These medals will probably make him even hotter? Yes? I heard he already has a Wheaties endorsement!
Also, ticket prices to the olympics are different according to the event. Figure skating is the most expensive ranging from $200-$600. Ski Jumping and Speed Skating were only around $150. I bought my tickets over a year ago; therefore, they have all almost doubled in price. You can find tickets for as little as $35 to some qualifying events. I suggest buying tickets early or when they first go on sale-which is usually 15 months before the games. You can buy them through CoSport….official tickets of the USOC (United States Olympic Committee.) If anyone has any other questions, feel free to ask me. I’ve only got two days to go…..then I’ll be Torino bound! Ciao!

13 years, damn, I thought it was like last year. As Arnold and the republicans would say…Chad is a girlie man!
Comment by Jimmy CraicHead — February 13, 2006 @ 9:56 am
Girlie man is right.
From the Philly Inquirer:
Chad Hedrick needed a hug.
The pressure, the emotion, the unfamiliar feelings of doubt built up inside him, finally finding an exit through his eyes. Here was the cocky Texan who declares victory before he races, less than two hours before his first Olympic event, with tears on his cheeks.
“I sort of felt like a sissy,” Hedrick said after he’d won a gold medal in the 5,000-meter speedskating event.
He was smiling as much from relief as from pride. He had taken such a long time to reach this goal, even changing sports to do it, and he’d made a lot of noise about how well he would do.

Kadonna,
Since you’re live and in person at Torino, I’m hopeful you can get to the bottom of an interesting rumor that’s spreading here in the USA.
Any truth that Michelle Kwan injured her “groin” while doing a little pairs action with Chad Hedrick on the practice rink?
Comment by National Inquirer — February 13, 2006 @ 12:10 pm
Come on people. Give Chad a break. I think he’s a hottie for sure and so what if he sheds a tear now and then! He rocks! And if Kadonna supports him, more power to you! I like her updates already. what a great idea to have her send updates exit 50!
Chad wouldn’t waste his time on Michelle Kwan.. believe me!
Comment by Material Girl — February 13, 2006 @ 12:37 pm
Of course Chad has no time for Michelle. Girlie Texas men know when they’re out of their league. Better he hit on girlie girls like Emily Hughes.
Comment by Jimmy CraicHead — February 13, 2006 @ 1:12 pm
Speaking of Emily Hughes..Does anyone think she looks like the Girl from American Pie that played the Flute at “BAND CAMP”
Comment by Administrator — February 13, 2006 @ 1:17 pm
Here’s a snap of your girl Emily. From the looks of it; with a rum and coke to boot.

My friend told me about Katrina. Said she works out in Addison. Any chance she’s single? I’d like to buy her a drink some time and talk.
Tell her that she is pretty interesting to listen too and has amazing lips.
Not sure if her door swings my way, but I’d be willing to be she’d like to explore unchartered territory.

Kadonna,
One more thing. Make sure you fold The American Flag right when you put it away. It sends a powerful message of respect. Cant wait to see you on TV. GO USA!!!!

Where’s Kadonna’s update? We’re missing her.. aren’t you??
Comment by GAME ON '05 — February 20, 2006 @ 12:35 am
Im as miffed as you are. I keep looking for Kadona on TV. NBC coverage is good but Im SOOOOOOOO sick of Kati Couric Matt Lauer and Al Roker.
Todays anoying moment was
Kati Couric saying ” I dont eat on camera” and infront of her is a awsome looking steak and a glass of red wine. Matt scores points for grinding on the food. But hes sitll a old school Coke HEad and Al Roker is a phony phat ass!
Comment by Administrator — February 20, 2006 @ 9:34 am
Forget all that.
If NBC had 24 hour coverage of Tanith Belbin or even just a photo of her on all day long, their ratings would go through the roof.
In my estimation, she is, by far, bar none, the hottest Olympian to ever represent any nation; Canadian draft pick or not.
Hopefully Hugh Hefner will sign her up.

I will watch for Chad’s success!!!
GO USA!!!!
Comment by Skonie — February 20, 2006 @ 10:47 pm
So Kadonna is aka Katrina? Is she as sweet as she looks Andrew? I’ll look for her on TV too. Katic Couric makes me want to vomit! Anyone see the women’s bobsled today? It was excellent!!!!!!!!!!
Comment by GAME ON '05 — February 20, 2006 @ 10:53 pm
Kadonna is leaving us Hanging like a Chad in Florida. (NO pUN) I guess she’s having a good time.
I watch NBC in the morning and become so annoyed that Katie Couric (I don’t eat on TV) Matt Lauer(self absorbed) and the Phat ass weather man “Porko” Al can’t even learn a modicum of Italian. Absolutely astonishing. They should be tested for doping.
Doping of America.

To all,
Katrina is such a special person. Her intention is beautiful as is Andrew’s. Their friendship is like a gentle falling snowflake. It takes many shapes.
They are both beautiful. I’m glad Katrina is visitng Tourino. Let your light shine Katrina……it’s your practice.

Hey everybody! I’m back from Torino! I have major jet lag but seem to be recovering! Torino was awesome! I can’t wait to tell everyone about it…the good…the bad…the interesting things that happened! I didn’t bring my computer…BIG MISTAKE! The time change and event schedule through me off in being able to get to exit50.com. It is good to be back in the USA and back in my own bed! Also, confirmed news…..Chad plans to keep training and go for the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver! I can’t wait to tell everyone about my trip….the things I did right and the things I did wrong. It takes going to the Olympics and experiencing everything the first time to be fully prepared. If anyone has any questions….write me and I’ll be happy to answer. Until next time….
Arriverderci! Ciao Torino!
